Louisiana Green Schools Challenge: Lycée places 3rd and creates dedication garden to Mr. Keith

Our talented students placed 3rd in the 2018 Louisiana Green Schools Challenge, in which students have to show green practices at our school! On the last day of school during our ‘End of Year’ Johnson Ceremony Erin Ryerson presented the award to our students. Much to Mr. Keith’s surprise, students created a garden from some of their award funds and dedicated it to him. We are so grateful for our mentors from Okra Abbey, Crawford Brubaker and Catherine Parler. Thank you to all who made this project possible, especially our gifted teachers, Molly Liberto and Simone Feaster-Armour!

Update from the CEO Search Committee: Tuesday, May 22, 2018

Dear LFNO Community,
First of all, the CEO Search Committee would like to thank everyone who came to the Town Hall last week to meet the three finalists for the CEO position at LFNO and to listen to them answer important questions regarding their experiences, plans and visions for LFNO. We also want to provide an important update regarding the final step of the CEO search process. On Thursday, May 31, at 5:30 p.m., a meeting of the LFNO Board of Directors will be held in the cafeteria at the Patton campus, at which the Board will vote on which candidate to extend an offer for the position of CEO at LFNO.  At the meeting, the CEO Search Committee will enter an executive session with the Board, during which time the committee will discuss the candidates with the Board. There will be an opportunity for public comment at the meeting prior to the Board’s vote, so anyone who wishes to express their thoughts and opinions regarding the candidates can (and is encouraged to) do so.  For anyone unable to attend the meeting, we encourage you to provide input by e-mailing the CEO Search Committee at ceosearch@lfno.org or by calling Jeremy Hunnewell (the consultant hired by the Search Committee to assist with the process) at (504) 962-3702.
The decision on who will lead our school going forward is of the highest importance, and we sincerely thank you for your support and input throughout this process.
Please do not hesitate to contact us at ceosearch@lfno.org should you have any questions.
Thank you,
LFNO CEO Search Committee
