Priestley bees find a new home

Beehive at Priestley Campus

Honey bees. Lycée loves them. They’re great role models for our students. Bees exemplify strong work ethic and cooperation. What’s better? They communicate through dance! And of course there’s that part about honey.

While we love them, they can pose a risk to those with severe allergies. With work beginning on the Priestley Campus, we made the decision to rehome the hive located on one of the first floor windows.

The bees are now enjoying fields and flowers in Gonzales. We thank JP “The Beeman” Armstrong for the safe removal. Au revoir, des abeilles !
