Back to school shopping, anyone? Each child needs supplies from his/her grade level list and English Language Arts (ELA) list, for a total of two lists. Pre-K4 students only need supplies from the “Moyenne section / Pre-K4” list, as ELA courses begin in kindergarten.
Cours préparatoire / First grade
Cours élémentaire 1 / Second grade
Each month, we feature an amazing Lycée teacher. We’re starting off with Maud Di Credico, a Pre-K4 teacher at the Claiborne campus.
Parlez-nous de vous. Tell us about yourself.
After studying law, I pursued a career in something teaching, something I’ve always wanted to do. I have taught for 7 years now and every school year is a new experience! When the day at school is over, I like dedicating myself to various artistic activities, such as dance, music and drawing.
What do you like to teach the most?
I love to teach the children not to be afraid of trying, to have more self-confidence. I love watching them discover that with practice they can do things they couldn’t before!
Tell us something a child or student has said that stayed with you over the years.
During my first year of teaching, a student asked me: “What do you want to do when you grow up? ” It reminds me that the world is different from their point of view!

As we prepare to say goodbye to summer, I hope yours was one that created wonderful memories for you and those you hold dear. A slower pace and time to relax with family and friends are what make summers special. And now, we welcome you back to what promises to be an incredible year! The summer was not a slow time for the Lycée administrative team, and the evidence of all our work will begin to manifest itself to our community in the days ahead. As our beloved Lycée turns four years old, everyone will notice that she is evolving into the mature institution that is capable of giving our students the world-class education that they so richly deserve. Let’s give our Lycée a grand birthday party on Saturday, August 9, as we come together to freshen up our Patton St. main campus. Dads Club along with PTO volunteers will power wash the playground, install a new basketball goal, touch up the painted red and blue sides of the building, and install acoustical material in Resto! Please plan to be part of this grand celebration. Continue reading to learn more about this clean-up day and how we spent summer vacation! I’m very privileged and proud to be part of the Lycée family, and I hope you are too.
All the best,
Keith
