Priestley’s New Beginnings
Alfred C. Priestley Junior High was a school that served the Leonidas/P-Town neighborhood until its closure in 1980. The building was used as office space until 1993, and then storage space until Hurricane Katrina ravaged the city in 2005. Ten years later, Lycée Français de la Nouvelle-Orléans purchased the building. These photographs show the property’s current state, its potential, and endless possibilities.
