R.L. Stine will give you goosebumps!

Do you like reading? If you don’t, you will if you read Goosebumps. The author R.L. Stine has been spinning scary stories for decades, and he is coming to New Orleans to bring his frightfully fun fables to the most voracious of young readers.

The New Orleans Public Library 2016 Summer Reading Program is giving children throughout New Orleans an opportunity to meet R.L. Stine. Children can register here through July 20, 2016. Please see details below.

  • SCHOOL VISIT (Friday, September 16, 2016): The New Orleans school with the highest number of minutes read per student (grades 1-8) will earn a visit by R.L. Stine. Reading logs must be completed by noon on Wednesday, August 10, 2016.
  • STUDENT LUNCH (Saturday, September 17, 2016): A lunch with R.L. Stine will be held for the top 60 students (age 6-13, grades 1-8) who log the most minutes reading. Reading logs must be completed by noon on Wednesday, August 10, 2016.
  • BOOK SIGNING (Saturday, September 17, 2016): BoucherCon, the World Mystery Convention, will host R.L. Stine as their Kids Guest of Honor with a talk, Q&A session, and book signing at the Main Library.
